Frans Josef glacier's today's main dish. Hokitika and lake Mahinapua were the side orders. Our 'professional surfer' driver's toys were rattled around his pram a bit and his dummy got spat out today as I first of all, 'went with a rival company' and then went AWOL a hundred meters from the hostel. He seemed to calm down after we found his pacifier - so much for chilled out surfer types! I'm going to try and go sky diving again here - apparently the views of the glacier are spectacular. It's not looking too good at the moment though - a few went up today, but there weren't enough spaces and the weather looks as though it's closing in over the next couple of days.

To tomorrow
