They say that this place is the 'Manchester of the East'. Well, that's what they say that this place is like, and I'm not going to argue with them (although I've not heard any Scouse Hindi or Gugarati yet). It's noisy, rainy, and at the moment, I'm not planning on staying long! I'll meet up with a Servas host tomorrow and hopefully he'll have a few ideas for me.
