We went to see a film from the French Film Festival which is on
in Sydney at the moment. The films called 'The Brotherhood of the
Wolf' (Le Pacte des Loups) and it is very, very bad. It's a shame
really, the film's been a huge hit in France, everybody has been
raving about it, but having seen it, I'm just left asking the question;
why?
The film takes the true story of a beast that apparently lived
in and around Lozere between 1764 and 1767. In that time, over 100
people, mainly women and children, were killed. The King offered
a huge reward for the person who found and killed the beast. The
film then tacks on 'Matrix'-esque
filming, a Kung Foo trained American Indian, a plot that makes 'The
Mummy' look like 'War
and Peace' with the sound effects of 'Bad
Taste' (Warning, gory pictures!).
This guy
does a good job of expanding my overview!
